Telling Our Families

People always seem to have this urge to break the news of a new baby to people in creative ways (unless of course you happen to get knocked up at 15, where you would instead look for creative ways to avoid telling anyone). We were no different. I got a little silly and made a video to show my parents. They thought they were watching clips from our trip to Brazil. Check it out if you want:

Despite the low production values and amateur cast (aside from yours truly, who was the star of multiple Griepsma family Christmas variety shows), the video had the intended effect. My family reacted something like this...

We decided to tell Cap and Carolyn on Cap's birthday. We got him a card that read "Happy Birthday Grandpa". We didn't get any pics of their reactions, but they can be summed up quite nicely:
